New research group and positions available - Sixt Lab

Dear colleagues,

please find below an important annoucement about a new research group in the Chlamydia field and open positions linked to it.

-----------------------------------

Dear colleagues,

I am building up a research group and I am now starting to recruit PhD students and postdocs.

My lab (http://www.mims.umu.se/groups/barbara-sixt.html) is affiliated with the Laboratory for Molecular Infection Medicine Sweden (MIMS) at Umeå University. MIMS is part of the Nordic EMBL partnership and provides a highly international research environment with excellent access to modern research facilities.

My lab will apply state-of-the-art tools in molecular genetics, microscopy, high-throughput genetic and small compound screening, and next generation sequencing technology, to study the molecular basis of cell-autonomous immunity and bacterial evasion mechanisms during infection with obligate intracellular bacterial pathogens, such as Chlamydia trachomatis.

Please help me spread the word (+attached flyer) to potentially interested students and postdocs.

Thank you!

Best regards,

Barbara
